Feeling the Ruff Wuff

Happy V Day!

Today is the day to celebrate Vizslas everywhere, and I am taking some time to really feel the wuff from the UMA puppies assembled in my tummy.

Woah. Ouch.

They are really moving and grooving today. Mom and Dad are fascinated by their pushing and nudging. I think the pups realize it's getting more and more crowded in there and are looking forward to seeing the big world.

The main activity planned for our V Day celebration is CONSTRUCTION.

Mom, Dad and I (in a supervisory and management role of course), will be constructing the whelping box! I won't be having the pups up in NYC, but this whelping box will be the base of operations for weeks 1.5 through 4.

Thankfully, Ms Melissa has graciously allowed us to use cousin Kayla's whelping box so we KNOW all of those pieces assemble in to SOMETHING!

We've already completed the site reconnaissance and modifications, and have laid the box's foundation.

All that's next is the framing and structural assembly. EASY!

Now, I think there were instructions somewhere around here...

My Baby Daddy

A few of you have been wondering about my baby daddy (and you know who you are). Now is the time to reveal all.

His name is Bodi, and he has a fancy show name just like me - though his name is longer and has a bunch of funny initials on it:

Ch. Kizmar GJ Kiss’M All McLain CDX

Or as I like to call him - my stud muffin, Bodi.

Sure, we're apart now and will probably never see each other again, but those few clandestine moments at the Red Roof Inn in Chicago will keep our wuff strong I'm sure.

I have decided to list out some of my favorite things about him:

Since he's from Minnesota, I just KNOW he must wuff Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion, a Spinnanama Team Favorite...

He's very Obedient. I mean-- he's even won awards and stuff. Super Cool.

I am not so obedient -- especially when it comes to the camera -- but he gives me hope that the kids will be easier to raise because of his influence.

He can fly.

Just look at him in this photo!!! A perfect tuck!

He can strut.

Work!

I can really see him on the cover of GQ...

can't you?

A sign from the inside.

Mom is officially, 100%, without a doubt convinced I'm pregnant. I know! It's crazy that she didn't believe me until just this morning. Not the big "pot belly pig" belly. Not the gai-normous boobies. Not everyone saying that I am pregnant. Nothing convinced her.

Until this morning.

We were into a major 'nuggle session on the bed, watching the flakes of snow fall outside the window, and mom had her hand on my belly. It's was a small thing, but without a doubt mom felt one tiny puppy paw push out against her hand. Just a little stroke, but it was there.

It was such a surprise that mom screamed. Yes - it was an audible.

But now, she is 100% sure there are babies in my belly.

24"

My mom just did something shocking! She measured my belly.

Or rather the distance around my waist just before my hind legs (the loin).

I am at a 24" waist. WOW.

I need to go into the Guinness Book for the fasted expanding tummy in the world. I am going to see if mom can take some photos to send in, but first maybe a treat is in order?
