The Kissables Are Packing Up

This weekend the Kissables are going to their forever homes to start spreadin' the UMA love. Their bags are packed and they are waiting to meet their new families.

Season, my oldest, already left yesterday and is going to make a wonderful family very happy near Ms Deb. Her spunk and athleticism are going to go far!

Joey D left on Friday as well. He's also going to stay close by to Ms Deb and I know his winning personality is going to make him quite the ladies man.

So that leaves Ms Deb is only three more pups.... I know where they are going but I can't tell. JUST YET!

Spring Fling

Celebrating a beautiful weekend full of bunnies, daffodils and warm sunshine, the Kissables strut their stuff.

A Big Week

The babies have aged a week since my last post. WOW, they're *almost* at the 5 week mark. They're growing so quickly.

They're eating kibble (and me, OUCH), they've had several pedicures with the disappearing toe nail machine, they're drinking water, playing and starting to cause havoc.

I can honestly say, I'm not sure that I'll miss them . . . .

Picnics, Portraits and Parents-To-Be

Spring is in the air! Settling into Maryland with Grammie Siren (my Mom), Miss Deb, and the rest of the gang I decided to enjoy the beautiful weather with my brood. Yup, a picnic was in order and the UMAL a/k/a the Kissables obliged.

Before, during and after lunch, the Kissies made introductions to Kissable Parents-To-Be Mr. Stephen . . .
and Mrs. Katherine. I wuff them as much as my babies do.

Mrs. Katherine even helped with the 4-week-puppy-portraits. Her purple shirt was so *pretty*!

Kissable Season:

Kissable Elise:

Kissable Ali:

Kissable Carli:

Kissable Joey Dozer:

Today is all about rain and thunder so we're taking it easy. The Kissies are eating more on their own which is great. Less time of their razor-sharp teeth on me and more time for me to hang with the grown-ups!

Bark atcha later.

The Kissables

Ms. Deb doesn't have a webcam -- rut row!!! - but she does take amazing photos and has promised me that I will get some computer time so that we can all stay in touch.

In the meantime, here is a fantastic shot of the Kissables to hopefully tide you over!

In Order: Ali, Carli, Elise, Joey & Season

ROAD TRIP!

The whole family (except mom and dad) will be moving to Maryland for a while. We're going to be staying with Ms Deb so that the Urban Mutt Army of Love can continue their training. We've just had them complete the Urban Love Affair mission; next up will be the in-country phase. The Kissables will be socializing, meeting other puppies, learning about the "outdoors", how to potty outside and best f all they will move to REAL FOOD.

Whew.

That can't come fast enough in my book since their teeth are really coming in now and they are SHARP!

Lord of the Flies...

meets the Kissables... Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!

3.16.2010

Third Week Birthday Presents

Now that the Kissables are three weeks old they are beginning to show their teeth. Hmmmm... When did mom say this whole weaning thing would start?

3.14.2010

Pedi-Pedis

No trip to New York City is complete without a day at the spa. Since the Kissables are growing by leaps and bounds I though that they would like to get out of their collars and instead wear some nail polish to distinguish them.

Joey, of course, wasn't too keen on it, so he stayed home and watched the game with grandpa.

The rest of the girls took a trip to MSMS (Momma Spin's Manicure Salon) and had their pedi-pedis. It isn't Elizabeth Arden, but the price was right.

Ali pickled "Sun Kissed" orange.

Season picked "Purple Potion".

Elise picked "Going Green".

And Carli decided to go with a nail buff instead of a polish color.

Teeter-Totter

My little babies are getting steadier and steadier on their feet. Still completely uncoordinated, and their heads seem to be too heavy to lift for a long time, the pups put on quite the show.

Pretty soon they are going to graduate and get out of the Whelping box. I just know that day will come faster than we expect -- I hope my mom is ready for that!

3.09.2010

2nd Week Birthday Present

Wouldn't you know it -- right on their second week birthday -- my little Kissables took their first glimpse of the world.

They opened their eyes for the first time today. What a wonderful sight to see them and have them see me!

All that sightseeing is hard work - time for a late night snack!

3.08.2010

On the Verge

The Kissables are on the verge of walking.

They are up on all fours wobbling and swaying like a bunch of drunken sailors on shore leave. As their mom, I have high hopes that they will get their land legs really soon. Then they will open their eyes and begin to take in the sights and sounds of life in the Big Apple.

Charting The Growth

Dad has a very important job. Every morning he tares the scale and takes each puppy's weight. Then he puts it into this chart. You can really see how they are growing. It seems like Joey has really leapt ahead today - topping his sister Carli for the number one slot of the largest pup.

Mom says that we should weigh him again in a little bit because that might not be right. A couple days ago when mom was helping dad, she miss-added and for a whole day we thought poor Carli was some sort of mutant fast growing puppy! But she's not, mom just needs to relearn basic addition.

Check out their growth!

The Kissables Are One Week Old!

It's hard to believe but my little pups are already one week old!. The family is doing really well and I think they really live New York City. That is a good thing because I know one of them will be going to their forever home here.

Season, the first born, arrived at 4:40. So far, she is showing some real leadership qualities too, and has only teased her little sisters and brother once.

Joey, is the man of the pack - he loves to go on adventures around the whelping box, and try to get away from all the women!

Elise should have been named Cathy... as in Chatty Cathy. She has a lot of opinions and likes to tell the world what she thinks.

Alaila can also have an opinion or two and really likes to hang out with me and Carli.

Carli is topping out at the largest of my babies so far, and is proving that she is a sweet girl who likes to get her way.

My mom and Dad are trying to set up the webcams so that they can check in on me while they are at work. Here is the Close-Up Angle:
